Till I Transform Once Again

How many lives have I lived

A different person at different times

Passing through a graveyard night after night

I am she, he and so many of them

Someday I may even become you

Likeable to you till I transform once again

Written in response to:

Brutal or Not Brutal

A friend told me about an ambulance driver who left his job after a couple of patients died while he was commuting them. He couldn’t bear the trauma, despite no fault of his. He left a higher paying job because he was a soft hearted person. But can he call the other ambulance drivers ruthless and stone-hearted because they continued their jobs? It would be a happy situation if people do not fall ill, at least not grievously ill. But it is a wishful thinking. So, someone has to take up hard jobs. Similarly, it would be nice if there are no misdeeds or wars. But there are misdeeds and wars. And to manage the security of a society/country a mechanism is needed. Armed forces, investigative agencies, police etc. are part of that mechanism. This mechanism saves members of a society from taking up matter in their hands because if that happens, it will turn the whole society brutal. So, it is understandable that the nature of job of these agencies is such that sometimes they may drift towards harshness. So, civil groups are needed to check their transgression. But what if, civil groups start calling these agencies heartless just for doing their jobs? And what if these agencies start accusing the civil rights groups of interference? After a while, people will choose a side between the agencies and the civil rights groups and ultimately, both will be discredited.

Shallowness

Shallowness, why are you so despised?

Neither your doors are ever shut,
Nor do you threaten to drown.

You introduce all to the aqua,
And within you, some even learn to churn around.

You are then abandoned for the treasure of the deeper world.
Forgotten and forsaken, your accessibility is then denounced.

Even if your name is death,
I shall not let you love me in bits and pieces.
Come to embrace me with open arms,
I am standing at the door to welcome you.

Empower to kill

Let us all empower ourselves by sharpening weapons in our heads, mouths, and hands.
Let us kill all hopes of love, trust, and care, as there are always chances of betrayal.

They freed me,
to go where I was welcomed.

I found home in their prison,
there they do not chain me.
